We are in the process of moving all the transmission equipment on to the Hobby nest. As with previous years, we are having to be very sensitive as we install the equipment around the nest area. This will probably go live on Saturday 3rd July.
The Nest
We will be monitoring the same nest as last year, although we do not yet know if it is last year's female. The birds arrived back in the UK about a month ago. This female has laid three eggs, which we expect to hatch between the 10th and 14th July.
What's live now?
There is nothing live and on-line until we connect to the Hobby nest. We will shortly be streaming some video from last year - 15th July 2009.

We now have the hobby nest camera on. last week there were three eggs on the nest and today there is only one. We can only guess that a predator such as a corvid (crow family) has taken the eggs. Unfortunately we have not seen the female on the nest since this morning. We are waiting anxiously to see whether she will return.
Man kann nur vermuten, dass ein Rabenvogel die Eier genommen hat. Seit heute morgen wurde der weibliche Altvogel nicht mehr gesehen. Es wird besorgt darauf gewartet, ob sie zurückkehrt.
