Yesterday in the afternoon I was not sure if there are 2 or 3.
In the evening, when it was nearly dark, I thought, there were 3 chicks.
But now I am sure we have lost one of the babies.

Hello All,
Finally got my new computer hooked-up and see I just missed the hatchings. I cannot tell whether 2 chicks have survived or if something has happened to them also.

Probably instinctive 'selection' of one of the parent storks. The food supply (variety, quantity, quality), the weather, the condition of the chicks, etc. - many factors influence the actions of the parent storks.

Thank you Doris for the information. I am not on Facebook and when I tried to read the News on this site in English, I got an Error 403 notice saying "access forbidden". I may not have the correct settings on this computer.

Hopefully these two little chicks will be fed well and grow up strong and healthy.

Guess I was confused by the earlier posts. I thought all four eggs had hatched and that two of the chicks had died. Hopefully the youngest will be able to catch up quickly to the first two in size and strength.
